International Business Development (IBD) Department NTPC is conducting two capacity-building programs for professionals from Kenya under the auspices of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program, Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, India. The programs are being conducted in association with NTPC School of Business (NSB), the best energy management college in India.

This capacity-building program on “SMART GRIDS”, which marks the onset of the two training programs, was conducted from 19th to 23rd February 2024. A total of 19 participants from Kenya travelled to India for this program. The program was formally inaugurated on 19th February 2024, by Dr J. S Chandok, General Manager (IBD), NTPC Limited, in the presence of Dr Rajeshwari Narendran, Director, NSB. Other Senior executives from NSB including Shri. A. P. Dash Ex Dean, NSB, and Shri. K. S. Bandyopadhyay, Prof. NSB also attended the inaugural session.

The valedictory function was held on 23rd February 2024 at NSB wherein the participants were felicitated with certification for the course and the cultural program was also conducted by students of NSB. The function was conducted in the presence of Dr. A. K Balyan, Former Director, ONGC, Dr. Rajeshwari Narendra, Director, NSB and other senior executives from NTPC and NSB. The function also included an interactive dialogue session on “Transition Towards Clean Energy” by Dr. A. K. Balyan.
